7 Christmas Light Displays in Orange County That Will Blow Your Mind

A growing favorite practice during the holiday season is packing the car with everyone in the family and checking out some cool Christmas lawn displays. You know, the really cool kind that use computers, lights, and music all synced together to put on a really neat show that causes a backup of cars as everyone is checking it out!

Of course, awesome Christmas displays don’t have to be like this to be really cool. If you’re not sure where to go this holiday season with the fam, we’ve got 7 locations to help get you started.

 

1. Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade

Located at 400 Main Street Newport Beach CA, this boat show is free to the public. The shows will begin on December 16th, 2015 and run until December 20th, 2015 with shows starting at 6:00 PM and will run for three and a half hours. 2. Snoopy House Holiday Display

Opening on December 12th through December 23rd, nightly performances will be held from 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM. There will be appearances by Santa and there will be fundraising opportunities with beverages and snacks. If you’re looking to know more, click here!

3. Lake Forest Christmas Lights

This Christmas lights display in South Orange County is a sight to behold! There are over 80,000 which blink to music that you can hear through your car radio! The show includes singing Rudolphs and Stars, Dancing Santas and Snowmen, and 20′ Mega trees! Shows began November 26th but are running through December 29th, so you have plenty of time to check it out! For more information, click here!

4. Mission Viejo Lights

Take a trip to the North Pole and see glittering lights, beautiful displays, and even Santa’s Workshop! Started on the 2nd of December, take your kids to see Santa at his workshop between 6 and 8 PM through December 20th. Pictures are welcome! For more information, read here!

5. King Eider Curb Side Forest

Cross Streets: El Toro Road & Aliso Road

Located on a cul-de-sac, this Christmas light display opened late November. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings there is hot chocolate, apple cider, and cookies! Who doesn’t love cookies and hot drinks?! The performance runs through New Year’s Day so make sure to check it out! Be sure to bring non-perishable food items to benefit South County Outreach.

6. Fountain Valley

Cross Streets: Stanislaus St & Apache River Ave

One house is causing a lot of noise in the social media world. This house has 5-star rating on its Yelp page. Yes, this house has its own YELP PAGE, so it has to be a showstopper. The Fountain Valley home features 56,000 lights and takes months to complete stated by one reviewer. Tune your radio to channel 91.3 and enjoy the show.

7. Brea Christmas Light Neighborhood

Cross Streets: Starflower Street & Primrose Ave

Another Yelp favorite, the neighborhood of Primrose Ave goes all out for Christmas time. Some of the residents sell hot chocolate and even cups of noodles to keep you warm and toasty as you watch the show.
